William J. Mercer

Many of Bill Mercer's clients, and now their families, have been with him since he started his practice in Milton in 1976. His commitment to the community has extended through years on the Board of the Milton Chamber of Commerce, as Treasurer and then as President. Professionally, Bill is also Past President of CGA Ontario and CGA Canada and has served on many national and international accounting committees, serving as President of the Confederation of Asian and Pacific Accountants for 2 years. In 2003 Bill was honoured by the Chamber of Commerce as Business Person of the Year. In 2008, at CGA Canada in honour of the 100^th anniversary of the founding of the CGA designation, Bill was chosen by their selection committee as one of the 100 outstanding individuals to make a difference to the profession.

Blake Mercer

Hon BA, CGA

A graduate of the University of Toronto, Blake joined the firm in 1996 and became a full partner in 2003. At the beginning of June 2011, Blake was elected Chair of the Board of Directors for the Certified General Accountants of Ontario for a one year term. Blake also chairs the Association’s Human Resource and Compensation Committee as well as being active on other committees. His committee and board work helps keep him apprised of government and professional issues related to accounting and financial reporting standards. Blake is currently working towards his Chartered Directors (C.Dir) designation through the Conference Board of Canada; McMaster University and the Degroote School of Business. Blake is a past member of the Board of Directors for the Milton Chamber of Commerce, serving as Treasurer for three years.
